El Río Medellín ha servido a lo largo de la historia como un referente visual en el paisaje del valle y eje integrador de los municipios por los cuales corre. En un pasado no muy lejano era un lugar de encuentro y recreación, pero con el crecimiento poblacional, se ha vuelto receptor de residuos; una cloaca a cielo abierto que corre por nuestra ciudad. Oda al Río es un dedicatorio al río olvidado, generándole un nuevo sentido al cuerpo de agua del cual cada día nos alejamos mas.
The Medellín River has served throughout history as a visual reference in the valley landscape and integrating axis of the municipalities through which it runs. In the not too distant past, it was a place for reunion and recreation, but with population growth, it has become the main recipient of the entire metropolitan area's residual water; an open-air sewer that runs through our city. Oda al Río (Ode to the River) is a dedication to the forgotten river, generating a new meaning for the body of water from which each day we move further away.
