And now instead of men, there were only voices, 2021
And now instead of men, there were only voices is a series of sound sculptures that investigates the intersection of technology, nature, and the Anthropocene. Created from electronic waste, the sculptures evoke organic structures like nests and hives, symbols of life and shelter now distorted by human intervention. These sculptures serve as meditations on life, death, and the post-human landscape, where technological domination has transformed the natural world. The accompanying soundscapes, derived from processed water recordings, create an immersive atmosphere, transporting viewers into a space where nature and technology coexist in tension. Through these works, the project challenges viewers to confront the consequences of human actions on the environment, blurring the lines between life and technological waste. By using discarded materials, the project not only critiques consumerism and environmental degradation but also offers a reflection on adaptation and resilience in an increasingly artificial world.
